Gajah Putih was built as a family vacation home by an Italian clothing magnate over seventeen years ago. Much of the layout and materials were decided personally by him to create a beachfront estate of magnificent ascetics and proportions. The same effort went into the choosing of the staff. Hospitality comes naturally to the Balinese and other natives of the Indonesian archipelago. Pleasure is taken when introducing its rich and diverse history to visitors from distant shores.

The Staff
- One Villa Manager: meets and greets guests on arrival, leads the staffing team to meet the expectations of their each guests.
The wonderful Ibu Raty is the Villa Manger, a position she has held for over fourteen years. She greets guests with a cheerful smile and jovial nature ensuring that they have the vacation they desire. She is accustomed to looking after visitors and celebrities from around the world, making sure that each guest's individual needs and desires are met.
- Six Villa Attendants: in charge of housekeeping and laundry.
- Two Cooks: trained in local and Western cuisine and in charge of shopping as well as preparing meals. Gajah Putih’s cooks have been personally taught by some of the best Italian Chefs in Indonesia.
- Two Waiters: responsible for the dining experience, providing waiter service and assistance to the cook.
- One Driver: offers chauffeur service to guests for up to 10 consecutive hours per day.
- Three Security Guards: on-duty to ensure the safety and security of the guests and the whole area.
- Six Gardeners & Pool Attendant: works discreetly in maintaining the landscape and the pool without distracting the guests.
