Pool and Sauna
The large swimming pool has wide sunning areas of soft white limestone, and is furnished with numerous sun loungers and two string hammocks.
There is a spacious sauna hut built of tropical hardwoods with a traditional Balinese thatched roof. One-way glass ensures privacy while providing views to the ocean.
Tennis court and gardens
The tennis court, with a concrete surface to assure a permanently perfect surface, is set on a slightly elevated plane near the beach. Foliage screens the court for privacy.
Two relaxation pavilions are ideal for meditation or yoga.
The beautifully tended lawn, planted with coconut trees, provides quiet space for strolling. It can easily be set up with tables and marquees to become a grand and festively romantic space for entertaining.
Menus and Dining
Villa Gajah Putih is blessed with two in-house chefs. After many years of hosting guests from all over the world, they have developed a wide range of culinary expertise. The specialties of the villa, Indonesian and Italian cuisine, reflect both its location and personal character. An organic garden on the property provides home-grown organic vegetables and herbs.
All purchased ingredients come from high-quality supermarkets and delicatessens. Shopping is done by the villa staff, with a service surcharge of 30% added to grocery receipts. Whenever possible, the staff will shop for fresh ingredients from the most primary source, such as seafood from the pre-dawn fish market in the beachside village of Jimbaran.
Special gastronomic features abound. The staff excel at homemade pasta and desserts, and will bake fresh bread on request. The villa also makes its own ice cream and gelato, using Italian techniques and fresh tropical fruits.
